Nicole M. Piemonte is an assistant professor in the Department of Medical Education at Creighton University, School of Medicine, and academic consultant at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix. She holds a Ph.D. in medical humanities from the Institute for the Medical Humanities at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
