Robert Oppenheimer is an Australian PhD student with the Synthetic Biology Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Oxford. By day, he designs and builds nanostructures out of DNA; by night, he reads and writes science fiction. He believes science fiction can not only anticipate future technologies and discuss consequences, but can affect lasting change through cultural myths.
